[Nov. 23rd, 2005|01:23 pm] |
If you're ever at king station in Seattle, go to Zeitgeist and buy a Salami sandwich cooked, I guarantee it will be one of the best things you can have.
Ohh, and I'm on their wireless right now, waiting to get on the train to Salem for Turkey with my dad.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
If a woodchuck would chuck a woodchuck would chuck a woodchucks worth of wood, and if a woodchuck won't chuck a woodchuck would still chuck a woodchucks worth of wood, because if a woodchuck won't chuck a woodchuck wouldn't chuck and no wood would get chucked, if no wood were woodchuck-chucked then no wood would a woodchuck be chucking, and therefore no wood would therefore be a woodchucks worth of wood. But...if a woodchuck would chuck a woodchuck would chuck and some wood would get chucked, if some wood were woodchuck-chucked then some wood would a woodchuck be chucking, and therefore some wood would therefore be a woodchucks worth of wood. So if a woodchuck can't chuck or a woodchuck won't chuck, or a woodchuck could or would, a woodchuck can not help but chuck a woodchucks worth of wood. |

| The last week |
[Aug. 26th, 2005|03:25 pm] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | drained | ] | Well, the last week has been slightly crazy for me, here's a quick recap.
Friday, the last-- Worked for six hours at basillos, then Kevin and my dad arrived within an hour of each other. The four of us (my mom, dad, kevin and I) went out to dinner, then Kevin and I walked around lent fest(tried to find Marcelo, but he was hiding at Donnies).
Saturday-- my BIRTHDAY (woohoo, I can now be drafted :@) we (me my family and kevin) went to the river and rafted, got back and attempted (again) to see alex.
Sunday-- Went to Charlie w/ Kevin and my dad... not much else
Monday/Tuesday-- Hung out with Kevin... (seeing a pattern??) saw 40 year old virgin (funny), million dollar baby (depressing)and office space (finally).
Wednesday -- Got a call from Basillos to come down and get paid for working (in cash) when I got there, Melessa said that Chad over at Little Ceasars REALLY needed some help, went over there and got the job in 30 seconds (no joke) starting Thursday at 8:00.
Thursday -- dropped Kevin off at the bus at 7:00 then went to work at 8:00, worked until 4:00.
Friday -- Worked 8:00-3:00 |

[Aug. 14th, 2005|05:52 pm] |
So, I went to summerstart(frosh orientation)this weekend and it was awsome! My mom and I got there on Friday night about three, and checked into the dorm, then we walked around until six, when we went to eat at the dining hall. The food wasn't great, but it was better then most cafateria food I've had. After that, I went off with all the other students and the OSA's (orientation student adviors, students that come to help out). We did some kind of strange ice breakers, then watched a preformance by the counseling center about dorm life, meeting people, and talking to professors. After that, down to the 'underground coffeehouse' which is really just five floors below the main part of campus, but since the VU (Viking Union) is built on a cliff, all 7 stories down look out on the bay. Saturday went to register for classes, Physics 121(first quater physics with lab), Math 124(calclus and anylytic geometry), English 101(required of all freshmen) and Racketball. Lunch on the Old Main lawn, and another orientation by the OSA's.

| More Rome |
[Jul. 29th, 2005|05:36 pm] |
Well, yesterday we went to the Vatican museum... not quite as big as the Louvre in Paris, but pretty close. The end of the museum is the sistine chapel... all I can say, you have to see it to believe it...
Today I got up a bit late (about 9:00), we rode the tube downtown and saw the Trevi Fountain, a beautiful Jesuit church, and a Plaza which I'm blanking on the name of... heh, I also picked up a silver bracelet with 11 pieces of amber in it... I'll leave you guessing who for (no, not my mom... weirdo)... anyhow, more later

| [ | Current Mood |
| | pensive | ] | well, reading other peoples live journals on and off today has put me in a pensive mood...
This trip has been a journey for me on many levels, in no real order... meeting French girls, learning how to party, getting to know my dad, traveling back in time, recognizing my values, realizing what my friends mean, just being here... and maybe not the biggest one, but the one I'm focusing on now is her, yeah, even though I know you aren't reading this, and probably won't I've come to realize that what I feel for you is unique out of all my feelings for anyone...
ok, I'm done
(yeah, I'll talk about Florence later)

PS... for those that care, I got the English version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince... good book, but I still think that #4 was the best she has written... not to say that the lattest wasn't EXCELLENT... different punctuation and all... |

| | none | ] | So.... I'm in Florence now (thats Italy you dolts...) got totally wasted for the first time last night, sorry you all weren't there. Had some fun with the S. Cal and Louisiana girls (too bad I don't really remember it).
Ok, maybe that was a bad way to start, so I'll try again.
Well, I'm in Florence now, and it is an AMAZING place (on my top 5 list)yesterday I went up to the top of the Domo(cathedral) loooooooooooooooooong climb up stone stairs in mirky darkness, but it was worth it. After that I realized that I was running out of shirts, so decided to wander down to the LanduaroMat and get everything clean and smelling nice. When I got there, the power was out there were a few people my age speaking American English, so I went over and asked them what had happened. We got to talking (the power eventually came back) and it turned they were on a tour of England France Italy and Greece, from two high schools in S. Cal. When they learned that I was here just with my dad, they invited me to come with them to a club that hosted American Tours in Florence. Got there about 11, had a Jack Daniels, followed by two Long Island Iced teas... and then something else (I think it had scotch in it). Anyhow, I met some of the people from the other tour that was at the club (from Louisiana). Danced and drank until about three, then wandered back to my hotel (only getting slightly lost). All in all, although its fun being able to set your own pace in traveling, its nice to be around people your own age that speak english occasionally too.

| | satisfied | ] | Well, been a while since I updated and I thought that since the computer at THIS hotel is free, I might as well. I'm currently in Lyons which is in S. centeral France, after I left Paris I went North West to Mt. St. Michel, a Monestary that was founded in 800 it sits on an outcropping that at one time was surrounded at high tide. After MSM I went to Carnac a village on the Atlantic Coast/English Channel. Then to Blois, a larger town on the Loire I visited several Chateau their then drove for six hours to where I am now, I just went and visited Roman ruins from the first village that was founded here in 89 BC.
Miss Pullman, hope everyone is having a great summer, I'll be back on the 9th. |
